The pre-order for The Cursed Stranger of Morlendar is now open. When you make a pre-order, you'll put yourself first in line to experience the Bookoora book title as soon as the full version is out.
On December 2023, when the pre-order trial is out, the full version of The Cursed Stranger of Morlendar is about sixty to seventy percent complete. Here are some details about what's in store.
The adventure currently has 350, main paragraph entries. The plan is to have 400 or more, towards the end. The arc of the solo adventure, will include some form of replayability, so in some way, you're looking at potentially, more than that, when the book is finally complete.
Beyond the main narrated story paragraphs, there are already 270 dialog entries, in the game. These mostly come from your secondary choice button interactions. In some cases, you interact with characters in the story, and engage in conversations. In others, you are solving mysteries, or discovering something new, within, the page.
This means, at the current moment of development, the inaugural Bookoora book has about 620 paragraph entries, in physical gamebook perspective. Each paragraph entry, is usually narrated, and for character dialog, voiced. Some entries, have yet to include sound effects, which will be the current focus, as we move into the next stage of development.
Inventory-wise, there are currently 400 items, or effects, as more are added, and fine-tuned.
With a planned launch, by the first quarter of 2024, The Cursed Stranger of Morlendar will introduce new characters, enemies and mysteries.
Before you make your pre-order, do playthrough the pre-order trial, to get a sense of what the adventure will feel like, and entail. Try it on different devices, web browsers, wherever you are.
As a subscribed member of Bookoora.com, do request to be kept in the email loop, on progressive updates of the game as we near full completion. It will give you a sense of when The Cursed Stranger of Morlendar will finally, be ready.
